Gold Economy

SolarCiv uses a gold economy - meaning gold ingots are the server’s main currency.

No weird numbers on a screen - your money is physical, tradable, and can be stored, transported, stolen, taxed, paid out, and displayed like real loot. If you’ve got gold, you’ve got power.

Why Gold Ingots?

Gold ingots make the economy feel more like a real world:

  • Physical currency - you can hold it, move it, and trade it
  • Player-driven markets - prices are set by players, not a fixed shop menu
  • Real risk + reward - carrying lots of gold means you’re valuable
  • Easy trading - no “how much is that in points?” - it’s just gold

What Gold Is Used For

Gold ingots are used for things like:

  • Buying and selling with other players
  • Making towns, and claiming land
  • Paying taxes (if your nation/town uses them)
  • Funding town/nation projects
  • Hiring mercenaries, builders, or traders
  • Paying ransoms, war fees, or diplomacy deals

Ways to Get Gold

1) Mining and Resource Gathering

The classic route:

  • Mine and explore for gold-bearing areas
  • Strip mine, branch mine, or cave dive

2) Trading With Players

Gold flows to whoever provides value. Earn gold by selling things players actually want:

  • Building blocks and materials
  • Food and farming supplies
  • Weapons, armor, tools, and enchants
  • Rare items from exploration
  • Invest in collectible items
  • Map services, builds, nation infrastructure, or protection

3) Rewards and Events

You can also earn gold through server activity:

  • Voting rewards
  • Crates and milestone rewards
  • Events, competitions, and community challenges

Gold = Influence

On SolarCiv, gold isn’t just money - it’s leverage.

  • Gold buys alliances
  • Gold funds expansion
  • Gold fuels war efforts
  • Gold builds empires

Get your grind on, think outside of the box - and make your nation rich.
