Welcome to SolarCiv, a 1:320 scale Earth map server. These rules ensure a fair, safe, and enjoyable experience for all players.
Cheat clients, macro keys, or modifications giving gameplay advantages (e.g., x-ray, free cam, cave finder, meteor client, Liquid bounce, any type of hacked clients, macros, PvP mods with unfair advantages, minimaps showing players/entities/caves, auto-clickers, mouse tweaks/tweakeroo, etc.) are prohibited. Allowed: OptiFine, Litematica with Easy Place, Distant Horizons/BobbyMod, Voxy, performance mods, armor/effect HUD mods, minimaps (dynmap-equivalent only), and aesthetic mods. Schematica is not allowed. Contact staff if unsure about a mod.
Only one account per player is allowed. Alternate accounts ("alts") are prohibited. All accounts on the same IP are punished if one breaks rules. Contact staff to switch main accounts or for exceptions (e.g., multiple players on the same network). Upon switching accounts we only swap mcmmo. We do not transfer over items, inventories, or echests..
Exploiting server bugs, dupes, glitches, block exploits to gain access through doors or walls Or unfair mechanics is prohibited. Report issues to staff immediately. Benefiting from another's exploit carries the same punishment.
Intentionally assisting, participating in, or benefiting from others breaking any server rules is treated as if you committed the act.
No lag farms (e.g., large spawners, mob platforms, stacked hoppers/furnaces), DDoS, bots, or service disruption. Hoppers will be limited by chunk. Chunk cap for hoppers will be () Hopper chains not to exceed (16), Hopper minecarts will be limited to (8) per chunk. Mob farm/platforms are limited to 1 chunk and can only be 32y levels in height, must be able to toggle off and on. If unsure contact a staff member to get your farm or platform approved.
Attempting to evade or bypass punishment (avoiding mutes through discord/messages/signs/etc, having other players break the rules to avoid warnings, etc) is prohibited. Circumventing a punishment will result in harsher or extended penalties, and all linked players may be included at staff discretion.
Toxicity is evaluated case-by-case by staff. No Racism, sexism, derogatory language, or inciting violence: Harassment, bullying, encouragement of self-harm, or hate speech, grooming, and threats of sexual abuse will not be tolerated.
Global chat must be in English. Use town/nation/local/party channels or private messages for other languages. No chat spam (includes the same repeated messaging), explicit talk of sex or drugs, do not share non-server-related unsafe or offensive links, and do not suggest that other players search unsafe terms/keywords. Do not type in ALL CAPS excessively, the odd capitalized word is fine
No sharing others personal information (e.g., addresses, social media, IPs, family, real-life photos, phone numbers, school/work locations) without explicit permission, even if disclosed by others. No threatening or manipulative use of info.
No advertising other servers or recruiting for them (this includes in DMs). No buying/selling in-game goods for real-world money or offering real money for in-game/store prizes. Server-related advertising is allowed.
Impersonating players, staff, towns, or nations via usernames, nicknames, or town/nation names is prohibited.
Players who repeatedly break rules will face escalating punishments. Violating multiple rules in a short period, even if each offense is minor or of different rules, will be treated as a pattern of disruptive behavior. Staff will apply harsher penalties based on overall conduct, not just individual incidents. Offences across multiple rules will lead to further punishments, this is combined between both punishment paths. Repeated rule violation. Consistent rulebreak = bad
Do not accuse other players of being pedophiles or involved with CP in general chat. These are serious claims and if there is evidence of such, immediately report this user to the appropriate authorities. Additionally, if these actions occurred on SolarCiv, please create a ticket immediately. False or baseless accusations will result in punishment.
During server events players may not interfere or cause a disturbance within the event. No matter where the event is located including Wilderness or claims. (inc) Killing, Invis trolling, Breaking blocks or structure, verbal harassment.
No donut/hollow claims, Snake/line claims, claims must be 3 chunk wide if they are extending off your claims. No claim blocking outposts or towns, these will be removed by staff. Town claims must not split into segments with the exception of Islands/Boats, please ask staff if you are unsure.
No griefing in claimed towns or within Proximity of a town.This includes any builds alongside, assume all builds are part of the town. This includes removing builds, changing the landscape, or building unwanted structures and iinappropriate signs Cobble monsters, lava/water curtains, TNT craters, mass spawning entities like chickens/boats). Ruined towns may be broken into but not destroyed. Damage will be rolled back and punishment will be issued. Old unclaimed builds may be cleared only for town building, not looted for resources. Siege attackers must repair siege damage after battles. Including any blocks placed or destroyed during pvp.
No lava/water griefing or casts, including in your own claims. No griefing pathways, roads, canals, ice highways, ect.Paths and Ice highways cannot block water level for boat passage. Players may request major terrain grief rollbacks in wilderness. If existing infrastructure is built in a location players wish to build in, they are required to build a detour for the existing pathways. No major terraforming that destroys geography (draining rivers, making artificial islands, ocean platforms, removing major island forms). Ships, harbors, and local edits inside towns are allowed. If you build over a river please reconnect and reroute it. Resource gathering in the wilderness needs to be taken in layers to preserve terrain do not dig down straight and make a massive hole, if you need clay from rivers or dirt dig down past the first layer and leave the top layer to preserve rivers and terrain.
Map art is allowed in Antarctica or claimed towns, must not be racist, offensive, NSFW, or exploitative. Carpet duping is allowed via custom recipe. Griefing or stealing map art is prohibited. Create map art at your own risk (PvP is enabled in wilderness). If you are unsure if your map art is appropriate please contact a staff member. Any illegal map art will be confiscated, and the creator will be punished.
Raiding/stealing between towns/nations is allowed within Towny/war mechanics. Stealing specific valuable blocks is permitted, but not easily acquired blocks. Stealing from your own town's members is subject to the mayor's rules; mayors may not steal from residents.
Mayors hold responsibility when granting roles such as co-mayor or trusted permissions. With great power comes great responsibility: if permissions are given carelessly, those who break rules may face reduced punishment. Co-mayors who break rules can have their actions treated as the mayor's responsibility, while accountability may shift back to the mayor to be applied as well.
Trapping shop chunks or attempting to kill players within shops (e.g., using lava, enabling PvP, or similar methods) is prohibited. Shops must remain safe for all players to trade without risk of harm or exploitation.
AFK-based MCMMO grinders are prohibited. Skill progression must occur through active gameplay, not automated or idle methods. AFK Pools are not allowed, AFK Fishing, AFK Machines, AFK autoclickers are all not allowed.
Nation names must match real-world (historic or present) regions, provinces, or large geographical areas, correspond to the capital's map location, Realistic larp for region is allowed. Nation names cannot be meme-based, duplicated, or offensive. It must be in the correct geographical area where it is created. Fictional names inspired by real-life locations are NOT allowed. SOME Greek and Roman Mythological names may be allowed, (please contact staff). If you are unsure if you should make it, you probably shouldn't make it.
Must fit the geopolitics theme. Must be real life geographical location where the town is created. Fictional towns are not allowed (please change your town name in accordance to the rule which must be accurate to the real life location and NOT offensive. However we will allow historical naval fleets or ships. No offensive, confusingly similar, or inappropriate names, fictional towns, and memes are forbidden. If you are unsure contact a staff member.
Tools, weapons, blocks, or any other items must not be named in ways that harass players or violate server rules. Offensive, derogatory, or rule-breaking item names are prohibited. Staff may rename or remove offending items in addition to applying punishments.
Usernames, skins, titles, & nicknames must not be racist, sexual, offensive, or impersonate others. For moderation purposes titles, surnames, nicknames should be in english.
After defeating someone, do not repeatedly kill/camp them. Traps/Ganks that do not instant kill/allow for a TP away and require staff to step in are forbidden. Players must clean up after PVP (inc) Cobwebs, blocks, water and fixing broken terrain (this includes after siege sessions).
No spawn camping or /home bed abuse. No TP killing (/t spawn, /n spawn, /outpost). No log off camping, killing, trap setting. Spawn traps of any kind (e.g., lava, suffocation, or forced death setups at spawn points) are prohibited. Traps must be a 3x3 chunk away from the spawn chunk. If a player changes a spawn point after committing such action, further punishment may occur. No glitching of any kind during PVP
Ganks are allowed, height limit is no more than 10 blocks above ground, the depth is your choice (plans to add to this rule in the future). Traps cannot be in shop plots even if you are not selling items. Be cautious of what your plot type settings are when making a trap. Traps must be a minimum of 3 chunks away in all directions of spawns, Traps must be insta kills, or allow for tp away. Staff should not have to get involved where a player is being held hostage from game play. No water bubble traps or chamber/towers that prevent tp are allowed. If you are unsure, ask a mod.
Rules governing siege battles and warfare mechanics.
Staff decisions are final. Appeals must go through proper channels (e.g., Discord or support). Staff may override rules for safety, fairness, or balance. Harassing, bribing, or impersonating staff is prohibited. Staff have the right to act above or outside of these rules at their discretion to maintain server integrity, safety, and community standards.
The ticket system is for genuine help requests, rule reports, or server issues. Creating tickets to harass, bait, or target other players is prohibited (especially during siege wars or conflicts). This includes attempting to get opposing players warned or punished through exaggerated, false, or retaliatory tickets. Tickets must be made in good faith and with relevant evidence. Tickets must be kept respectful and professional. Repeated misuse may result in loss of ticket privileges or escalated punishment.
Open aggression or harassment of staff members is strictly prohibited. This includes overwhelming staff with repeated demands, spam pinging, rage-baiting, or intentionally testing server boundaries to provoke a reaction or resignation. Staff are volunteers here to help the community. Treat them with respect. Concerns about staff conduct must be submitted through proper channels (Support Server on Discord), not through public or in-game confrontation.
Punishments escalate: 3 repeated minor offenses escalate to a 7d ban; 5 repeated minor offenses escalate to a permanent ban. Instant permanent bans for hacks, dupes, doxxing, IRL threats, or server disruption. Appeals must be respectful, evidence-based, and submitted via Discord or support.
